Prior to starting my PhD at UT Austin, I studied Film and Television at New York University and spent most of my time working on film and TV productions in a variety of roles. Here are some highlights:

- Directed 10+ short films on digital, 16 mm, and 35 mm film formats by developing screenplays, overseeing auditions, leading production meetings, executing storyboards and shot lists, and guiding all creative aspects of production, such as set decoration, lighting scheme, camera operation, music production, sound design, and editing
- Produced short film by managing budget, planning meals, making travel arrangements, and sourcing and negotiating contracts for locations, transportation, rentals, and other production resources, saving director more than 10% in total costs
- Assistant directed short film to manage production logistics from creating schedules to tracking daily progress and maintaining order on set
- Interned for FX TV series Louie (Season 4) by sourcing items needed for production, coordinating with 50+ cast/crew, and managing equipment on set to help produce 30+ hours of footage for 14-episode season. (Notice Dr. Bigelow's office sign in the episode "Elevator: Part 5"? I interfaced with a vendor within minutes of closing time to deliver the item and save the production from a last-minute miscommunication less than 24 hours before shooting. I'm off camera stage left of actor Charles Grodin, ready to brief him on shooting logistics.)
